Rebel Tile's story
My name is Paul D'Arcy, Owner of Rebel Tile LLC, born and raised in Cambridge, England. I am a Husband and proud father to 3 wonderful girls. My wife is active-duty Space Force with currently 16 years in service across multiple branches. We are currently stationed here in Colorado Springs after meeting in the UK, and then being stationed to Vandenberg, California in 2017. For the last decade it has been an honor and privilege supporting the US military on the back end, and a journey that feels like a dream. I was granted US citizenship in 2025.
A Legacy of Precision
I started my journey in tile at just five years old, accompanying my grandfather to job sites while my mother served as a police officer. My grandfather was a true journeyman, a master of his craft who passed his wisdom down through generations of our family. At seventeen, fresh out of music college, I was taken under the wing of my uncle—one of the most respected tile specialists in the Cambridgeshire region of England. For the next five years, we worked side-by-side on major renovations for the Universities in Cambridge, high-end hotels, car showrooms, and private estates. Eventually, I launched my own business and trained my first apprentice (shoutout to Fabio, still a master of the craft today). Those formative years molded me into a dedicated professional committed to constant growth. When the Air Force stationed our family to Vandenberg, California, I adapted my skills to the US industry, mastering advanced techniques including specialized bulletproof shower systems. Since moving to Colorado Springs in 2022, I have been proud to partner with Zach at Holloway Customs to create exceptional builds together. My approach is rooted in old-world precision—the tried and trusted methods of my heritage—now seamlessly integrated with modern tools and trends. My family instilled a standard of excellence in me that has only been amplified by the industry professionals I've collaborated with since. I am deeply grateful for this craft and honored to carry its legacy forward.
Outside of Rebel tile, I spend most of my time not sitting still. I am an avid rock climber, snowboarder, golfer, pool player, musician, hiker and canyoneer.
Rebelling Against the Ordinary
The 'Rebel' in our name isn't about grand gestures—it's about a quiet rebellion against the status quo of rushed work and lack of care from so-called "tile guys' in the industry. We brought this philosophy to Colorado, with goals of contributing to and growing the network of real tile ninjas in the Springs. If for some wild reason Rebel tile cannot fill your project's needs, we are connected to a network of tried and tested installers in the area and can refer your project to trusted people in my network. You will at least gain some guidance from us as to what to expect from your chosen company, so you will have some valuable insight to take with you...but you are in the safest hands right here.
